The editor wishes to make grateful acknowledgment to Professors H. M. Belden, Lowry C. Wimberly, Edwin F. Thanks are due to the Macmillan Publishing Company for permission to reprint four or five texts from the Cowboy Songs of John A. Lomax, to the H. W.
